It looks as if spring has sprung.  At least for now.  I dread to think that if the saying "in like a lamb - out like a lion" is true, we could actually see a blizzard before winter says good-bye for good.  Shudder!!  And perish the thought!

Yesterday the weather allowed us to get out and get a jump start on the spring yard cleanup.  (Is it really only March 18?)  Seems a bit early to be out in the yard.  Nevertheless, signs of spring are everywhere and I am loving it!!

lovely forsythia!

It sure is good to hear the Corinthian bells again!  Like going home - or something like that.  Just makes me feel good!  Know what else makes me feel good?  Grandchildren!  And spontaneous get-togethers with family!  Those are usually the best kind.

It was a really good day!!  (FYI: if you want to get a better look at the pictures, you can click on any one and it will enlarge the pic and allow you to view all in a slideshow format.)

I thought I had more to say, but it has taken me so long to accomplish this much!  These computers are very useful little machines, but for those of us who aren't too computer literate, they can be quite a challenge.  I will post again soon, but for now I must bid thee farewell!  I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!!!!

Kids say the darndest things...

Just so you know, this is a "test" blog...been wanting to do this for a while and finally got around to it.
Well, here goes!

My dear girl Remy came to visit this week.
And I have a confession to make: I turned her into a Pride & Prej junkie! Started the dvd at 8:00 after Papa went to bed and she made it through the whole thing and absolutely LOVED it! Next morning she wanted to know if she could watch tv and guess what she wanted to watch! and then we had nap time (and I use the term loosely) on the sofa and watched it again! She calls it the princess movie. :)

But here's what really got me. When she saw Lady Catherine De Bourgh she said, "She looks like you, Nanny!" YIKES!!!! I didn't know whether to laugh or cry. After all, kid's are brutally honest!! But then' judging from the picture of us "exercising", I can understand why she said that! LOL!
So last night she's pampering herself in the tub as I was pampering my face with layer after layer of "stuff". As I explained to her, it is to help my keep my skin looking younger and she promptly told me my neck looks old! But she didn't mean that in a bad way, she said! -tee hee- This morning she made up for it though. She wanted me to "curl" her eyes lashes. What she meant was, she wanted me to put some mascara on them. I said, Oh, no, you're too young for that, and besides, I don't think your mommy would like that." She got all sad and started to get watery eyed and said, "But I just want to be beautiful like you, Nanny!" Well, needless to say, she got to wear mascara!

I bought an amaryllis bulb down at Terrain. Never had one before. Isn't it pretty? It's calle La Paaz.

Okay, that's my first post. I can't figure out how to place the pictures. Help, Rebekah!
